Having a Thai massage is complete stretching. All body parts get moved and awakened. I always feel so relaxed yet invigorated.

THAI YOGA THERAPY/MASSAGE

Thai Yoga Therapy/Massage shares its roots with Yoga and was more fully developed in Thailand. It combines rhythmic palming and thumbing of sen lines (similar to Chinese meridians) with assisted Yoga stretching. This combination aims to stimulate the flow of blood and energy. Sessions are helpful in relieving stress and tension and bring a sense of well-being and deep relaxation. Some have described receiving a Thai Massage as having yoga done to you. Many also find Thai Massage helpful for working with residual pain from trauma to the body.

The session is done fully clothed on a comfortable mat on the floor.

For me the great feeling from a Thai massage comes after it’s over.  I’m totally relaxed and surrounded by a sense of calm.  My response to the poses of the massage is ever changing, but I definitely have my favorites.  The list of the ones I like is always growing and someday I’ll be like my friend who “loves every minute of it.”  Thai massage is a regular part of my self care routine.  I get one every few weeks, making sure I keep them booked ahead several months.  I love going up to Three Rivers for my massage.  The setting is beautiful with the sound of birds and the fountain right outside.  It’s a wonderful experience. - Patti Fiormonti
