AYURVEDA WORKSHOP WITH NANCY TAN

Ayurveda is an ancient science of self-healing that has been practiced continuously for over 5,000 years. Ayurveda is highly effective for creating and maintaining wellness through practices that restore the balance and harmony of the individual, promoting health and longevity. Its methodology includes diet, life-style management and cleansing practices that follows the principles embedded in nature.

In this class we will:

• Understand Ayurvedic concepts for health and disease.

• Learn Ayurvedic nutritional principles and simple cleansing methods and incorporate them into your daily life.

• Determine your constitutional type and gain a new understanding of your physical, emotional and mental makeup and view your relationships from a different perspective.

• Identify what gets in the way of optimally caring for yourself and removing the obstacles.

• Engage in yoga practice that illustrates Ayurvedic principles and learn how to use asana and pranayama practices to balance your constitution.

NANCY TAN is the founder and co-director of Fig Garden Yoga Studio. She is a certified yoga teacher and is registered at the advanced level with Yoga Alliance. Nancy is also a licensed psychotherapist. With a special interest in the therapeutic application of yoga, Nancy blends her expertise in both fields in her workshops.

Come join the fun for a 3 hour class of yoga and art with henna finished off with delicious smoothies.

Yoga instructors Karen Roebuck and Allison Kleinsteuber have tons of fun in store for teens 12-18 year of age that want to enjoy a workout, wind down and relax and be creative!

No experience necessary.
